2026 Classes & Announcements
Beginner Knitting Class is on the second (2nd) Saturday of EVERY month. Class fee is $20. Supplies are available for purchase or bring your own.
October 3 - The shop will be CLOSED.
October 10 - Yarn Adventure Truck is back! Come out and see the big, beautiful yarn truck filled with delicious yarns and notions. It’s like an ice cream truck…but with yarn! CANCELED
October 17 - Book Signing with Melissa Littlefield of the popular YouTube channel ‘Knitting the Stash’. This event will actually take place at Perasma Books* due to space requirements. Melissa has written a book called “Reinventing Wool” and if you love wool, history, wool, fiber, wool, social issues and wool... you will love this book. *Perasma Books is located at 6531 Ferguson St. in Broad Ripple, roughly a block and a half from Oma Knits Textile*
October 23 & 24 - Close Knit Fibers Trunk Show! Come meet the dyer in person and squish some fantastic yarn.
October 24 - Malabrigo Day - If you are new to Malabrigo yarns, this is your chance to check it out with zero pressure. Yarn tasting kits, with mini skeins of ALL their bases, will be available for you to fondle and play with.
October 31 - The shop will be CLOSED for the holiday to give the shop ghosts a chance to let their hair down and party. Stay safe out there!
November 21 - Portuguese Knitting Class. Learn this unique knitting technique from 3pm to 5pm. This technique, which involve tensioning the yarn around your neck or through a pin, can be very appealing for anyone that has trouble purling, keeping good tension or for anyone that just wants to learn something new. No experience required. Just bring your favorite knitting needles and your sense of curiosity. Class fee: $45
Ongoing knitting/crochet support and help with projects are always available every Wed-Saturday.
Open craft night is every Thursday 5pm to 7pm. Bring a project, pull up a chair and enjoy some cozy conversation.
